Yes. The ProQual Level 4 IQA Award is “sector-neutral.” As long as you are overseeing assessors who are delivering regulated qualifications or formalized training—whether in construction, hair and beauty, or clinical healthcare—the principles of quality assurance remain the same.

No. This is a competency-based qualification. Assessment is conducted through a portfolio of evidence, which may include professional discussions, written assignments, and workplace observations. There are no timed exams or “pass/fail” test papers.

You can complete the theory unit (Unit 1) to gain the knowledge of IQA practices. However, to achieve the full qualification, you must have access to at least two assessors who are each assessing at least two learners. Without this practical environment, you cannot complete the second unit.
